What exactly is CBD?

CBD is short for cannabidiol, one of the 80+ cannabinoids found in cannabis. There are two primary species of cannabis: hemp and marijuana. Hemp contains a very low concentration of THC (.3% or less), while marijuana contains a much higher percentage of THC – between 15% and 40%. We exclusively carry products that are sourced from industrial hemp.

Will the products on the Remedy get me high?

Sorry, the products on the Remedy will not get you high. Since all of the products we carry are made from industrial hemp, they contain .3% THC or less.

Help! How many milligrams of CBD should I take?

Each person is different, and it depends on the desired effect. The ‘industry standard’ dose for internal use (anything you eat) is about 20mg-25mg. Many people enjoy micro-dosing, which involves ingesting a smaller dose (often about 5mg) multiple times per day. We recommend that you begin with a smaller dose of 10mg-15mg, and increase up to 30mg depending on how much effect you’d like to have. Many CBD oils and tinctures have measurements printed on their glass droppers.

When is the best time to take CBD?

It depends on the product, as each product is formulated to work differently. You can find out more information about each product on their individual product pages. We recommend you try taking the products at different times of the day, depending on your desired effect. For example, if you’re taking specific products to aid in sleep, take it before bed.

Will I be able to pass a drug test after consuming CBD?

Full spectrum hemp products do contain very low levels of THC – the full spectrum products that we carry are tested to contain less than .3% THC. It is unlikely that you would fail a drug test, but there is still a slight chance due to the small amounts of THC present in full spectrum hemp products. This also depends on the quantity and frequency of CBD products you consume, as well as how your body metabolizes cannabinoids. If you’re worried about lab testing, we recommend using CBD isolate, which contains no THC.

Where can I find lab results for products on the Remedy?

Go to the individual product pages for the lab results for your product. Each product that you buy coordinates with a batch number that can be found on the site.

How did you choose the companies you work with?

We have pretty high standards when it comes to cannabis, and wanted to create a safe and trusted space to find the best hemp-derived CBD products on the market. All of the companies we partner with use third-party labs to test each batch of their product, legally source their full spectrum oil or isolate from a trusted, industrial hemp grower, and have experience formulating or cultivating these products. Read more about the brands we work with here.

What’s the difference between CBD isolate and full spectrum CBD?

Full spectrum CBD products contain a full spectrum of cannabinoids including CBD, CBDa, CBN, THC, (and more) as well as all terpenes and essential oils. CBD isolate products contain only one cannabinoid: CBD. It’s produced by removing all other compounds found in hemp including terpenes, flavonoids, plant parts, and other cannabinoids. Broad spectrum CBD is a whole plant extract with the THC removed, or CBD isolate that has had other cannabinoids added in.

Each of the products we carry have icons on their product pages that show what kind of CBD is in the product, and the desired effect it has.

Hm, I took some CBD and I didn’t feel anything! What’s up with that?

You probably did not take a high enough dose (sorry!), try increasing your next dose by 5-10mg.

I feel a little nauseated when I take CBD on an empty stomach

That’s okay! We recommend our internal use products (pills, oils, edibles) to be taken with a snack or meal.

What’s the best way to store CBD?

We recommend that you store all products in a cool, dry place and keep out of direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time. Please follow the expiration information on your products, if provided.

Will CBD or other cannabinoids treat my anxiety, depression, insomnia, or other medical issues?

Talk to a medical professional about integrating cannabinoids into your health care plan. Seriously, you might be surprised.

Is CBD legal?

According to the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp is now legally considered a crop. At a federal level, CBD is legal but is still up to each state to enforce their own policies.

How do I know what product is best for me?

It depends on what your desired effect is, and what you’re most comfortable taking! We created our Chillax Box for this exact reason. Many people enjoy using Tonic’s Chill Tonic for a controlled dose of relaxing CBD, while others may prefer Colorado Hemp Honey’s Raw Relief because they can mix it into a water-based drink at night.
